Husband Walks in to Wife Being Held at Gunpoint During Hamden Home Invasion
Quinnipiac University students warned via an alert.

A Hamden couple was robbed at gunpoint during a home invasion on Mix Avenue Thursday, according to police.
Officers responded to the reported home invasion around 11:50 a.m., said Sgt. Anthony Diaz in a press release. A man entered an unlocked slider to the ground level apartment and pulled a black semiautomatic handgun on a female resident and demanded money.
The woman’s husband walked in and interrupted the robbery, but the robber managed to take the woman’s black Coach leather purse, which contained her credit cards, ID and keys. Neither resident was injured.

The robber took off in a dark blue Nissan Juke, which was taken during an armed robber on Knox Street in West Haven Wednesday, Diaz said. Police are looking into commonalities between the cases.
The vehicle was last scene in the north end of Hamden, possibly heading toward Cheshire.
