Hamden Police Seek 'Ninja' Bank Robber
Police say a man dressed in a "ninja-type" outfit robbed a bank in Hamden on Saturday.

Hamden Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect who was dressed in a “ninja-type” outfit Saturday morning.
Police responded to the People’s Bank at 3496 Whitney Avenue at about 9:15 a.m. on the report of a bank robbery.
Investigation revealed that an individual, who is described as a white male, dressed in a ninja-type outfit, entered the bank through the front door, Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.

The individual proceeded to the service desk and removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer.
Smith said he was last observed fleeing on foot, northbound, on the Farmington Canal Trail.

Further investigation revealed that the individual might have entered a motor vehicle, described as a Honda, which was parked in the parking lot of a Whitney Avenue business.
The aforementioned described vehicle was observed fleeing from the area, towards Todd Street, at a high rate of speed, according to Smith.
