Hamden Police Seek Suspects in Beacon Street Home Invasion
The suspects knocked at the door before forcing their way inside.

Hamden police are looking for two suspects in a home invasion that occurred on Beacon Street on Tuesday evening.
Police responded to the scene at about 5:30 p.m. and investigation revealed that two individuals knocked at the front door and the 20-year-old victim, believing it was his mother, opened it, Police Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.
The two individuals subsequently forced their way inside. One of the individuals, who was armed with a handgun, struck the victim with it.

Smith said a further struggle ensued before the individuals fled on foot. No property was reported stolen.
The victim, who was treated at the scene by Hamden Fire Rescue, suffered minor injuries, including abrasions.

The suspects are described as black males, 25 to 30 years of age, who were both wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
