Hamden Police Seek Suspicious Man who Approached Female High School Student
The man allegedly asked for directions, then asked the girl to skip school and go with him.
Police are looking for a man who approached a 17-year-old female Hamden High School student Thursday morning in his car and asked her for directions, then allegedly asked her to skip school and go with him.
Hamden Police School Resource Officer Scott Jason was contacted by the student at about 9 a.m. regarding the suspicious activity complaint, Police Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.
The student related that she was approached by an individual, described as a Hispanic male, with a “bushy” black mustache.

The individual, who was operating a Toyota Camry, Connecticut partial plate of 574- _ _ Z, asked her for directions to Fair Haven. He then stated, “You cute”, while asking her to skip school and go with him, according to Smith.
The student immediately reported the incident to school security, who then notified the School Resource Officer.
