“Climate change isn’t a problem because the climate’s always changed.” It’s a common phrase to hear in arguments about human-caused climate change – but is it justified? We will delve into the record of climate through Earth’s history to find evidence for past changes, and ask what – if anything – is different this time. The presenter, Tom Reershemius, is a graduate student at Yale University in the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences.

This program is presented by the Hamden Public Library in cooperation with the Yale Peabody Museum Speakers Bureau.
