Hamden Public Schools to Host its First Family University

Event will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at Hamden Middle School.

Hamden Public Schools will host its first Family University on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hamden Middle School.

The Family University is an integral component of Hamden Public Schools’ Parent and Family Engagement initiative. The philosophy behind the Family University is that parenting, like education, is an ongoing and lifelong learning process.

There will be 2 sessions of classes (1 hour in length) held within the following 4 strands for parents to choose from: Supporting Learning and Navigating the System, Parenting, Family Health & Wellness, and Parent’s Personal Growth & Development.

This FREE event will include lunch. Childcare will be provided for ages 3-12.
