Press release from the Hamden Mayor's Office:

April 8, 2021

Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Public Works Director Craig Cesare are encouraging Hamden residents to “Go Green” this April in celebration of Earth Day and in honor of our beloved planet. Residents are encouraged to make a contribution to the Hamden Commemorative Tree Gift Fund to help support “Clean and Green” tree-planting efforts happening in Town this season.

This spring Hamden Public Works is planning to plant more than 50 trees in collaboration with the Hamden Tree Commission, and will continue to procure and plant additional trees by utilizing contributions made to the Gift Fund. Residents can contribute to the Gift Fund by writing a check to the “Hamden Commemorative Tree Gift Fund” and mailing their contribution to Office of the Mayor, 2750 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. All past and future contributions are greatly appreciated.
