Businesses, Community Members To Be Honored At Hamden Chamber Choice Awards
Several businesses and community members will be honored at the chamber's annual choice awards dinner. See the list of honorees here.
HAMDEN, CT — Several businesses and community members will be honored at the 25th Annual Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce Chamber Choice Awards Dinner at Cascade Fine Catering, 480 Sherman Avenue in Hamden, on Thursday, Feb. 24.
“Since 1996, this event has impacted our region by shining a spotlight on the many people who make a difference every day in our community,” HRCC President Nancy Dudchik said in a news release. “We look forward to continuing to be the leader that provides the forum for deserving businesses and individuals to tell their story and be celebrated.”
Award recipients are selected based on their professional contributions, leadership and commitment to the community, according to the news release.

“It’s an honor for us to have so many worthy recipients, all of whom are dedicated to making this region’s business community thrive,” said Ian Williams, chairman of the HRCC Board of Directors.

- Allison Batson, Business Advocate
- Vera Morrison, Notable Citizen
- Jim Brewster, Chamber Leadership
- Empower Her, Danielle Beerli, Service Organization
- The Joan Lynn Dance Company, Women-Owned Business
- Esther Odamtten, Exceptional Care, Minority-Owned Business
- Karen Butler, Church Street School, Educator of the Year
- Caleb Green, Eli Whitney Technical High School, Business Student of the Year, In Memory of Edward J. Ryan, III
Tickets for the event are $70 per person and include a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and the program.
“We are excited to have Meteorologist Ashley Baylor from WTNH News 8 to Emcee our event,” the news release states. “All Covid protocols will be in place to ensure a safe environment for the community to celebrate all our deserving honorees.”
