Hamden Restaurant Loses Liquor License Amid Controversy
There have been a number of shootings and other incidents in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant.

HAMDEN, CT —Pizza restaurant Slyce had its liquor license revoked by the Liquor Control Commission after a number of incidents.
Police Chief Thomas Wydra, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Southern Connecticut State University officials were among those who testified in favor of not letting the license be renewed, according to the New Haven Register.
Owner Fazlay Rabbi testified and said he can't control what happens after patrons leave the premises and denied being responsible for violence in the area.

Some incidents include three citations for selling alcohol to minors in 2013, fights inside and outside of the restaurant and five shootings in the immediate area.
