Hamden Rovers Finished Season in Style

Rovers men's soccer team celebrates the end of another winning season in the CASL

The final home game at Pine Rock was postponed but that didn't stop the men from celebrating their winning season in the Connecticut Adult Soccer League. The Rovers men settled in on Sunday with a scrimmage, followed by food, drinks, dominoes, music and laughter. "It's all about having a brotherhood and enjoying our football" says team coach/player Rob. "We are still champions" shouts Nick, the Rovers defensive midfielder.

The men remain in the running for the top spot after a 6-1 spanking of New Fairfield the prior Sunday. Two of six goals came from midfielder Greg, pictured above (right). The final home match against Prospect is being rescheduled. It all depends on the results of other games now. The Rovers men are not focused on that, to them its more than just football. The men will go indoors for the winter before the start of the new season in Spring 2019. To them it's a matter of staying in shape and remaining healthy.
