Hamden’s Fanolis Earns All-Northeast 10 Conference Honors

Zoe Fanolis, a captain for the SCSU field hockey team, has earned postseason honors from the NE-10 Conference for the second straight year.

HAMDEN, CT — For the second year in a row, Hamden’s Zoe Fanolis, a senior on the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team, has been recognized with year-end honors from the Northeast-10 Conference, as voted on by the league's coaches.

Named Second-Team All-Conference, Fanolis started all 18 games for the Owls this year. She set a new single-season high and tied for the team-lead with five assists and was second on the team in goals (four) and points (13).

Fanolis also served as a team captain for the Owls in 2016.

The Owls finished the 2016 season with a 4-14 mark and were 2-10 in NE-10 play.
