HAMDEN, CT — Hamden’s IT systems were “compromised” early Thursday morning, according to Mayor Lauren Garrett.

“Our team quickly shut the system down to protect against further compromise,” Garrett wrote in a post on Facebook. “We have contracted with a recovery consultant and are working with law enforcement investigators to safely get our system up and running. Our emergency services are uninterrupted. Non emergency services will be available as soon as possible. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”
