HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden girls basketball team’s season came to an end with a 58-47 loss to third-seeded Greenwich in the CIAC Division I semifinals Monday at Trumbull High School.

The 10th-seeded Green Dragons had advanced to the semifinals with a thrilling 52-51 victory over No. 2 New Britian in the quarterfinals.

Greenwich will take on top-seeded Northwest Catholic in the championship game this weekend at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Northwest Catholic advanced to the title game with a 50-48 win over Sacred Heart Academy in the other semifinal game on Monday.
