Hamden Special Voter Registration Session, Redistricting Information

HAMDEN, CT — The Town of Hamden Registrar of Voters Office announces a special voter registration session to enroll voters who wish to vote in the upcoming municipal primary on Tuesday, Sept. 12, as well as make residents aware of the following information.

Special Voter Registration Session Information: The Hamden Registrar of Voters Office is holding an in-person Special Voter Registration Session on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The location is the Registrar of Voters Office, located on the main floor of Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden.

Deadlines:

Thursday, September 7, 11:59 p.m.

• Mail-in registration deadline for new voters (postmark)
• Deadline for new voters to register at a DMV or other voter registration agency
• Last day for new voters to register using the Online Voter Registration System
• Deadline for unaffiliated voters to submit enrollment application to Hamden Registrar of Voters (received)

Monday, September 11, 12 noon

• In-person registration deadline for new voters with Hamden Registrar of Voters
• Deadline for unaffiliated voters to enroll in-person with Hamden Registrar of Voters

Redistricting Information:

Redistricting occurs after the census is completed every 10 years to adjust our district maps in response to population shifts. Please be aware, your voting location MAY have changed.

Additional Information:

Absentee applications and ballots will be available beginning Tuesday, Aug. 22 in the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours. Click here for more information.

Post cards from the Registrar of Voters Office will be mailed to each household.
