Hamden Town Clerk's Office Implements New Online Portal

HAMDEN, CT — Effective immediately, the Town Clerk’s office has implemented new technology to request vital records online.

Every year, the Town Clerk’s office handles thousands of vital records. Their office now provides public access to cloud-based software where residents can request and submit payment for copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates online via their mobile phone, tablet or computer. Residents can receive their documents via the mail or pick them up in the Town Clerk’s office.

The Town Clerk’s office will continue to execute the creation and delivery of these documents as they do today.

Hamden Town Clerk Karimah Mickens said, "We have partnered with Permitium's VitalDirector to give Hamden a fast, easy, and affordable way for our residents to request certified copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates online. The ordering process with Permitium's VitalDirector ensures statute compliance, accelerates turnaround time, increases security, automates, tracks, organizes, and streamlines vital records ordering for applicants in the Town of Hamden."
