Hamden's Weekend Weather Forecast Includes Chance of Showers, Thunderstorms

If only we could get today’s forecast to be what we’d end up with on Saturday… But before we get to the weekend, we’re looking at a picture perfect weather day on Thursday with sunny skies and temps in the high 60s to 70 degrees.

Friday is expected to be even slightly better with sunny skies and temps around 70 degrees.

Saturday, however, is shaping up to be the worst day of the weekend as showers and thunderstorms are possible early in the morning, followed by cloudy skies the rest of the day.

But the sun reappears on Sunday, and a gorgeous weather day is forecast with high temperatures approaching the mid-70s.

Here is Hamden’s latest hyperlocal forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 7pm and 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.
