Holiday Closures Announced For Town Of Hamden

Officials announce the schedule for town buildings and trash collection for the Good Friday holiday.

HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are reminding residents and staff of the following holiday information.

Town offices and buildings, including Government Center, Keefe Community Center, all Hamden Public Library buildings, and the Hamden Transfer Station, will be closed Friday, March 29, through Sunday, March 31, in observance of Good Friday, and will reopen Monday, April 1, at their regularly scheduled hours. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.

Trash and recycling pick-up will not be affected by this holiday.

The Warming Center at Keefe Community Center will remain open 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., 7 nights a week through March 31. Click here for more information.

There will be no Friday Night Public Skate Night at the Louis Astorino Ice Rink on Friday, March 29.
