Holiday Closures Announced For Town Of Hamden
Officials announce the schedule for town buildings and trash collection for Lincoln's Birthday, Washington's Birthday & Presidents' Day.
HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are reminding residents and staff of the following holiday schedule changes.
Lincoln's Birthday: Thursday, Feb. 12
Government Center, Keefe Community Center, the Senior Center, and the Hamden Transfer Station will be closed Thursday, Feb. 12 in observance of Lincoln's Birthday, and will reopen Friday, Feb. 13 at their regularly scheduled hours. Hamden Public Library buildings will be open Thursday, Feb. 12 during their regularly scheduled hours.

Washington’s Birthday & Presidents’ Day: Monday, Feb. 16
Government Center, Keefe Community Center, the Senior Center, all Hamden Public Library buildings, and the Hamden Transfer Station will be closed Monday, Feb. 16 in observance of Washington’s Birthday & Presidents’ Day, and will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 17 at their regularly scheduled hours. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.

Due to the closure of the Hamden Transfer Station on Saturday, Feb. 7 for inclement weather and associated clean-up operations, the Transfer Station will be open, weather-permitting, on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Trash and recycling pick-up will not be affected by these holidays.
