Homecare Agency Opens New Location In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — Companions & Homemakers, which has provided in-home care services for the elderly for more than 25 years, has opened a new location at 2518 Whitney Avenue in Hamden. The relocation of the New Haven office puts Companion & Homemakers in a more convenient location for clients and their families living in the greater New Haven area, officials said in a press release.

“We are constantly looking for ways to improve service and the customer experience and our new location in Hamden does just that,” said Linda Grigerek, president and founder of Companions & Homemakers. “The Hamden location provides greater visibility and accessibility and it will also make it easier for us to recruit great staff from the community.”

Companions & Homemakers has 11 offices statewide. The new Hamden location is just a quarter of a mile from the intersection with Dixwell Avenue, a highly used travel corridor between Hamden and the city of New Haven.

“We are happy Companions & Homemakers has chosen our town for this new location,” Hamden Mayor Curt Balzano Leng said. “The services they provide are important for many families in the greater New Haven community. We think this new location puts them at the geographic center of the client base they are trying to serve. We welcome the company to Hamden.”

All staff will move to the new location and the phone number will stay the same so there will be no disruption of service.
