Inclement Weather Forecast Postpones Festa Italiana Event in Hamden

Festa Italiana will now be integrated into the 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival, according to town officials: BREAKING

HAMDEN, CT — Due to an inclement weather forecast for Friday, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng, in coordination with Fire Chief David Berardesca and CERT Director David Lewis, has announced that “Festa Italiana” will now be integrated into the 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival.

The 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival will occur in Hamden Town Center Park on Oct. 14 from 4:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. and will now feature a “Little Italy” area complete with specialty Italian food vendors, youth activities, Italian cultural exhibits and more.

Live entertainment will be provided by Rich DiPalma, who will sing a medley of classic Italian songs and pop classics.

Arrangements have also been made with the Hamden Miller Memorial Library to host Hamden’s Italian cultural heritage exhibit for public viewing in the weeks preceding the Food Truck Festival.

The exhibit will be on display at the Miller Memorial Library from Oct. 4 through Oct. 14. The Miller Memorial Library is located at 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518 and hours of operation are available at www.hamdenlibrary.org.
