Independence Day Holiday Announcements In Hamden
Officials announce the schedule for town buildings and the trash & recycling collection for the Independence Day holiday.
HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are reminding residents of the following holiday information:
Town offices, including all library buildings and Keefe Community Center, will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022 in observance of Independence Day. They will reopen on Tuesday, July 5 at their regularly scheduled hours. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.
Trash and recycling pickup for the week of July 4th will be delayed. Collection starting July 4 will be delayed one day due to the Independence Day holiday. The pickup normally scheduled for Monday, July 4, will occur on Tuesday, July 5 and so forth, culminating in Friday's pick-up taking place on Saturday.

The Hamden Transfer Station located at 231 Wintergreen Avenue will be open Saturday, July 2 from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The Transfer Station will be closed Monday, July 4 and will reopen Tuesday, July 5 at 7:30 a.m.
