Jill Bassett Appointed Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at QU
Jill Bassett of Bristol has been appointed assistant dean of student affairs at Quinnipiac University.

Hamden, CT– Jill Bassett of Bristol has been appointed assistant dean of student affairs at Quinnipiac University.
“I am excited, both personally and professionally, to join the Quinnipiac community,” Bassett said. “As a Connecticut native, I have always been impressed with Quinnipiac’s academic programs and the positive impact that the students have on our larger community. I am proud to be a part of Bobcat Nation and share my experience in higher education.”
In her new role, Bassett is responsible for supervising the university’s Community, Assessment, Response and Evaluation (CARE) Team, case management, assisting with divisional assessment, serving as a hearing and/or appeal officer, creating publications and reports, assisting with student retention and helping with other division-wide projects and initiatives.
Bassett comes to Quinnipiac from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire, where she served as assistant dean of student affairs and retention. Before that, she served as associate director of residential life at the University of Bridgeport and assistant to the director of housing at Southern Connecticut State University.
Bassett has a doctor of education degree in higher education administration from New England College. She also has a master’s degree in women’s studies and a bachelor’s degree in English from Southern Connecticut State University.
