Knife-Wielding Man Robs Clothing Store In Hamden: Police

HAMDEN, CT — A knife-wielding man stole an undisclosed amount of money from Plato’s Closet in Hamden on Saturday night, according to police. At about 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 26, police responded to Plato’s Closet, located at 2335 Dixwell Avenue, on the report of a robbery.

Capt. Ronald Smith said investigation revealed that an individual, described as a white male, 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a thin build and tattoos on his left arm, entered the store, wielding a knife. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

The suspect fled from the store and entered a “burgundy” colored Buick, according to Smith.
