What he says: Seeking to bring a fresh approach to Second District concerns, my name is Harry Gagliardi and I am the Democratic candidate for the Legislative Council in the Second District.

After serving in the United States Air Force, I graduated from Quinnipiac College with a B.S. Degree in Marketing. My post graduate work includes a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Bridgeport and an Administrative Certificate from Southern Connecticut State University. I am now retired after serving 40 years in the field of education as a classroom teacher and a building principal. 

I am a member of the Hamden Democratic Town Committee and have been a resident of Hamden for more than 50 years. My friends and neighbors share the same concerns I have about high taxes, neighborhood blight and the Putnam Avenue Firehouse project. We all agree it is time for a change. The Second District needs new representation. 

To be clear, I don’t pretend to know all the answers. But I promise to listen to all perspectives and to work hard and smart for the good people of the Second District who, like himself, are proud to call Hamden their home.
