Scared Dog Wanders Into Hamden Police Headquarters: UPDATE

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police are asking for help locating a lost dog’s owner after it wandered into police headquarters on Friday.

“This dog wandered into our sallyport where we bring prisoners before entering lockup,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “We checked our warrants and he is not wanted so we know he is not turning himself in. If anyone knows the owner- please call us at 203-230-4000.”

UPDATE from Hamden Police:

"Peaches must have heard mom and dad telling their children to go to the police if you are lost- because that's what Peaches did. When frightened by construction work in the house she ran off when she had a chance but came to the Hamden PD. Thanks to our Facebook followers who helped reunite Peaches with her family!!!"
