'Love Is In The Air' Presented By Hamden's Town Clerk's Office

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden’s Town Clerk’s Office presents “Love is in the Air.”

Hamden’s Town Clerk’s Office is offering a limited number of free marriage ceremonies for couples who would like to get married on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. The marriage ceremonies will be held from 11AM - 1PM at Memorial Town Hall, 2372 Whitney Avenue, Hamden.

PLEASE NOTE: There is LIMITED AVAILABILITY. First Come, First Served. Anyone interested should contact the Town Clerk’s Office at (203) 287-7028, by email at townclerk@hamden.com, or stop by the Town Clerk’s Office on the lower level of the Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Avenue, no later than Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

The marriage ceremonies include:

• Marriage License (Free)
• One Certified Copy of the Marriage Certificate (Free)
• Justice of the Peace (Free)
• Small Reception (Free)

Requirements to Participate: This offer is for Hamden residents only.

Process:

1. Contact the Town Clerk’s office to check for current availability.
2. Once availability is confirmed, please obtain the Marriage License Worksheet, which can be mailed to you, picked up in the Town Clerk’s Office, or you may click here to download the worksheet.
3. Please submit the completed worksheet and valid (unexpired) photo ID for each applicant to the Town Clerk’s office. At the time of submission, the marriage license will be created and issued after both parties sign in person in the Town Clerk’s Office.
