Major Shoe Retailer Moving To Hamden: Report

HAMDEN, CT — Shoe retailer DSW is scheduled to close its North Haven and reopen in the Hamden Plaza later this month, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reported DSW, currently located at 410 Universal Drive North, is scheduled to open at 2100 Dixwell Avenue on Jan. 27 in a move that is being heralded by Hamden officials as a boost to the town’s “magic mile.”

North Haven First Selectman Michael Freda told the Register that he is already working on finding a new retailer for the DSW space in North Haven.
