Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Evading Officers: Hamden Police
The man was found to be in the possession of fentanyl, cocaine and cash, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man was recently arrested as part of a drug investigation in Hamden, according to police.
Members of the Hamden Police Department Crime Deterrent Unit and Intelligence Unit, along with the New Haven Shooting Task Force worked together with the Drug Enforcement Administration on a narcotics investigation in the area of State Street and Park Street on April 21, according to Sgt. Angela Vey.
During the investigation, Vey said Tyrice White evaded police after a drug transaction. White was located and found to be in possession of 10 fentanyl tablets, 73 grams of heroin, 12 grams of powdered cocaine, 29 grams of crack cocaine and more than $1,000 in cash, according to Vey.

White, 47, was charged with engaging police in a pursuit, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. White was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in early May, according to Vey.
