Man Carjacked At Gunpoint In Hamden: Police

Police said the victim was carjacked at gunpoint by three people on Thursday night.

HAMDEN, CT — A 21-year-old man was carjacked at gunpoint by three people Thursday night in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to Town Walk Drive around 11:45 p.m. on the report of a carjacking, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.

Dolan said an investigation found that the 21-year-old victim parked his car in a condominium parking lot and was getting out of the vehicle. He was approached at gunpoint by three suspects who were wearing masks, according to Dolan.

They robbed him of his personal belongings and stole his vehicle, Dolan said.

The suspects left behind another stolen vehicle at the scene, which was recovered by Hamden police. The victim was not injured during the carjacking, according to Dolan.

Dolan said the victim’s vehicle was later recovered in Milford.

Detectives from the Hamden Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation into the carjacking and are following up on several leads, according to Dolan.
