Man Charged with Breaking Into Hamden Home while Residents were Sleeping: Police
Several items were stolen in the burglary, including the homeowner's motor vehicle, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A 19-year-old New Haven man has been charged with breaking into a Hamden home while the residents were sleeping and stealing several items, including the homeowner’s motor vehicle, over the summer.
Hamden Police responded to a Lillibridge Court residence on June 29 on the report of a burglary.
The suspect entered the home through an unlocked first-floor window, while the residents were asleep, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Several items were stolen, including electronic equipment, and the motor vehicle, Smith said.
Detective John Marks conducted an extensive investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Dontell Littlejohn.

On Sept. 8, Hamden Police Detective Raymond Quinn and other members of the United States Marshal Service arrested Littlejohn at his Woolsey Street residence in New Haven, according to Smith.
Littlejohn, of Woolsey Street in New Haven, was charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree larceny. He was detained on a court-ordered $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 22.
The New Haven and Orange Police Department assisted the Hamden Police Department in the investigation, Smith said.
