Man Convicted Of Sexual Assault In Hamden: Officials

The man was found guilty by a jury this week in New Haven Superior Court, according to officials.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man has been convicted of sexual assault in connection with a 2021 case in Hamden, according to officials.

Daren Sarcione, 55, was found guilty by a jury Monday in New Haven Superior Court of first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault, and first-degree sexual assault, New Haven State’s Attorney John P. Doyle Jr. announced.

Sarcione was accused of holding the complainant down on a bed and sexually assaulting her in Hamden on July 18, 2021, according to Doyle.

Sarcione is scheduled to be sentenced July 21.
