Man Dies After Fall At West Rock Ridge State Park In Hamden: DEEP

HAMDEN, CT — A California man died after an apparent fall at West Rock Ridge State Park in Hamden on Friday evening, according to officials.

Hamden police notified the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection around 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 of the report of a fall victim.

DEEP Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police responded and found a 25-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.

The victim was later identified as Martin DeJesus Flores, 25, of Woodbridge, California, according to DEEP spokesperson James Fowler.

Fowler said Flores apparently fell and there are no suspicious circumstances.

The incident remains under investigation by the EnCon Police.
