Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Hamden: Police
A suspect shot the victim while he was in a parked vehicle, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A 23-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot late Thursday night in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Park Road around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Dolan said police learned a short time later that a 23-year-old gunshot victim arrived at Yale-New Haven Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.

An investigation found that a suspect approached the victim while he was parked in a vehicle and shot him, according to Dolan.
Detectives from the Hamden Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit are leading the investigation, Dolan said.

Ballistic evidence was recovered at the scene, according to Dolan.
