Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Hamden: Police
Police are investigating a shooting in broad daylight in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — A man was hospitalized after being shot Tuesday morning in Hamden, according to police.
Hamden police responded around 11:45 a.m. on May 7 to the New Haven Police substation on Winchester Avenue in New Haven on the report of a shooting victim who had been injured in Hamden, according to Lt. Raymond Quinn.
Quinn said Hamden police officers then went to the area of Goodrich Street and Goodyear Street in Hamden and located the crime scene.

Officers determined that an “unknown individual” approached the 34-year-old victim and they had an argument, according to Quinn.
“The unknown individual then produced a firearm and shot at the male victim wounding him,” Quinn wrote in a news release. “The unknown individual then fled the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.”

Police are continuing to investigate, and anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Crawford at 203-230-4000. Information can be given anonymously.
