Man About to Jump Grabbed by Hamden Officer
The officer's quick actions were caught on his body camera.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden officer grabbed a man from a balcony just in the nick of time as he was about to go over. The officer's quick actions were caught on camera. Officer Justin Martin's body camera shows him hustling up several flights of stairs to reach the man. Martin was dispatched to Whitney Center on Leeder Hill Drive April 21 on a report of a combative resident.

The resident was located exiting a 6th floor doorway which leads to a terrace on a roof.

Martin rushed to the resident as he started to go head first over a railing. He grabbed the combative resident by his feet to safety.
The resident was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
