Man Knocked Unconscious, Robbed While Meeting Prostitute In Hamden: Police
The man was seriously injured after being assaulted while arriving for a scheduled meeting with a prostitute, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A man was knocked unconscious when he was assaulted and robbed by two people while he was arriving for a scheduled meeting with a prostitute in Hamden, according to police. At about 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 18, Hamden Police responded to a Second Street address on the report of an unconscious person, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that a 56-year-old Wallingford resident had scheduled to meet a prostitute on Second Street. She advised him to meet her behind a specific residence. When he arrived, he was assaulted by two individuals, described as black males, 18 to 20 years of age, according to Smith. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The men demanded his belongings, while threatening to stab him, Smith said. The victim was subsequently punched in the head and lost consciousness. He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with serious injuries, according to Smith.

The victim’s cell phone and other personal items were stolen during the robbery.
