Man Shot In Lounge Parking Lot: Hamden Police

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the parking of the Dixwell Social Lounge early Thursday morning.

Police saw several vehicles leaving the parking lot at 940 Dixwell Ave. around 1 a.m. at a high rate of speed, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.

Officers found a crime scene in the parking lot, according to Dolan.

Dolan said ballistic evidence was found, along with a stolen handgun.

A 34-year-old Hamden man was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his foot, according to Dolan.
