Man Tried To Steal $1.6K In Items From Home Depot: Hamden Police
Police are asking for help with identifying a man accused of trying to steal $1,600 worth of items from Home Depot in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a man accused of trying to steal $1,600 worth of items from Home Depot in Hamden. Police said the attempted theft took place at The Home Depot, 1873 Dixwell Ave., on July 23.
The suspect left the store with about $1,600 worth of items but left the stolen merchandise behind when approached by a Loss Prevention Officer, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. The suspect left the area in a maroon Ford Escape.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds who was wearing a blue shirt, black pants and black shoes.
