Mayor's First Skate Night Announced In Hamden
The public skating event will take place at the Louis Astorino Ice Rink in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — Mayor Lauren Garrett is pleased to announce the Mayor’s First Skate Night.
The public skating event will take place at the Louis Astorino Ice Rink, 595 Mix Ave., in Hamden on Friday, Dec. 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Skating is $10, skate rentals are $10, and the snack bar will be open. Both cash and card will be accepted.

Garrett thanked Quinnipiac University and President Judy D. Olian for their generous donation toward the purchase of new ice skates, and for their commitment to partner with the Hamden community.
“In the tradition of Quinnipiac ice hockey and our strong partnership with the Hamden community, we are gratified to provide ice skates to families so that they can enjoy a fun evening of skating and togetherness," Olian said.

The schedule for Mayor’s Skate Nights will be released soon for 2024. The series of Mayor’s Skate Nights is made possible through the Town’s partnership with rink managers Sean Donohue and Dan Bush of 595 Mix Management LLC.
