Mehr Chhatre of Hamden Wins Connecticut Veterans Parade's Student Essay Honors

Congratulations to Mehr Chhatre of Hamden. The 7th grader is one of two Runners-Up in the Connecticut Veterans Parade’s 2016 student essay contest. She and two other Connecticut middle school students will read their winning essays, “What It Means to Be a Veteran”, at a public ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. at the CT State Capitol Building in Hartford.
