Memorial Day Parade 2019

Hamden Girl Scouts

Hamden, CT: Hamden Girl Scouts marched at the 83rd Annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27.2019. The Parade started at 10:00 at Hamden High School and ended at the Miller Memorial Library.

Five Girl Scout troops marches alongside Girl Scout leaders and registered volunteers. Multiple levels of Girl Scouts were represented. Girl Scouts start as young as Kindergarteners and the Girls can go until Seniors in High School.

Members of the Girl Scout Color Guard, two girls from Hamden and one girl from the North Haven Girl Scout Color Guard marched alongside the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Hamden # 2224.

Memorial Day is a day we as the country come together to honor and remember our servicemen and women who answered America's call to service and paid the ultimate price. On behalf of Girl Scouts, “Thank you. We remember you. We are grateful to you.”
