Men Caught With Meth, Ecstasy In Hamden: Police
Police arrested two men on charges they were attempting to sell drugs in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of two men on Monday evening after they were found in the possession of methamphetamine and Ecstasy pills, according to police. The arrests were made at about 4:30 p.m. on Dixwell Avenue, police said.
Jeffrey Busk was observed in the parking lot of 1160 Dixwell Avenue and was found to be in the possession of methamphetamine and several Ecstasy pills, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Smith said moments later officers located Edward Ortutay, who was seated inside of Busk’s vehicle, and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. A total of 21.4 grams of methamphetamine was seized, according to Smith.

Busk, 47, of Valleybrook Road in West Haven, was arrested on three counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell. Busk, who was detained on a $50,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on May 4.
