Motorcyclist Dies After Crash In Hamden: Police
The crash happened Saturday night in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — A motorcyclist has died after a crash Saturday night in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to Dixwell Avenue near Homestead Avenue around 7 p.m. on the report of an accident involving a motorcycle, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Dolan said the preliminary investigation found that the motorcycle was travelling northbound on Dixwell Avenue and collided with a vehicle that was travelling southbound on Dixwell Avenue.

The motorcycle operator, identified as Jamar Crenshaw, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with serious injuries. Crenshaw, 38, of New Haven, later died at the hospital, according to Dolan.
A portion of Dixwell Avenue was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash.
