New Film Starring Quinnipiac Graduate To Debut In New Haven

The film will celebrate a red-carpet debut at the Bow Tie Criterion Cinema in New Haven on Saturday, Dec. 18.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A new independent film featuring a Quinnipiac University graduate is making its red-carpet debut in downtown New Haven on Saturday night.

Rising indie film director and writer Xavier Bastidas brings his debut film, “Empty Paradise,” to the Bow Tie Criterion Cinema, 86 Temple St., at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 18.

“Empty Paradise is the story of a young father plunged into a cycle of painful depression-inducing events that bring him to rock bottom,” according to a news release. “The film features local actor/producer Micah Bailey, graduate of Quinnipiac University, in his first starring role.”

The film is rated PG-13.
