New Operator Tapped For Laurel View Country Club Banquet Facility: Report

HAMDEN, CT — After years of problems, town officials are optimistic that Laurel View Country Club will once again have a successful banquet facility under the potential operation of Mickey’s Restaurant, according to the New Haven Register.

Kate Ramunni of the Register reports that Mayor Curt Balzano Leng will be recommending a contract with Mickey’s Restaurant, located at Whitney and Dixwell avenues, to run operations for the facility along with the 19th Hole Restaurant.

Leng told Ramunni that details of the contract are still being finalized but there is interest on both sides.

Matt Menchetti, the owner of MDM Golf, runs the golf course and also held the contract for the banquet facility but it was never fully operational and that contract expired in January, according to the Register.
