A new police substation has been proposed for a vacant retail spot in the Hamden Plaza, according to a report.

HAMDEN, CT — A new police substation has been proposed for a vacant retail spot in the Hamden Plaza at 2100 Dixwell Avenue, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports the proposed satellite office, which received a “favorable recommendation” from the Planning and Zoning Commission this week, would be located between Ashley’s Ice Cream and Wells Fargo.

The Legislative Council is expected to vote at its next meeting, according to the Register.
