New Trampoline Park Coming To Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — A new trampoline park will be opening in Hamden this summer, according to the New Haven Register. Funz Trampoline park will open in the long vacant former home of Stop & Shop in the Putnam Place Shopping Center on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. An official opening date hasn’t been set.

While many in the area had hoped for a grocery store to be developed at the site, Economic and Neighborhood Development Director Dale Kroop told the Register that it is unlikely since national chains plan few store developments each year and the competition is high. He also said it was important to fill the plaza with foot traffic now.

The trampoline park will bring Putnam Place to capacity, along with the Porter and Chester technical school that opened earlier this year and the planned CVS that will be built at the corner of Putnam and Dixwell Avenue.

The Funz Trampoline park will feature a 50,000-square-foot trampoline park with trampolines, spider wall, rock wall, battle beam, ninja course, foam pits, dodge ball, bubble soccer, bumper cars, arcade, building mega blocks and playground, according to its Facebook page.
