Obituary: Angela ‘Angie’ Mut Mattei, 89, Of Hamden
She had worked for the Children's Center, Hamden for 33 years until her retirement.

HAMDEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Angela “Angie” Mut Mattei, 89, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022 with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Dominic S. Mattei.
Angie was born in New Haven on March 16, 1933, was the daughter of the late Vincent Mut, Mary Schettino Nigretti and Anthony Nigretti who raised her.
She had worked for the Children’s Center, Hamden for 33 years until her retirement.

Angie was a New York Yankee fan, enjoyed frequent trips to the casino, loved to cook for her family, her favorite things to make were pizza and chicken cutlets, and she was a devoted contributor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
Mother of Rosanne F. Mattei, Carolann M. Baldino and the late Anthony D. Mattei. Sister of Joseph Mut, Rosalie Palma (Peter) and the late Louis Mut and Maryann Cretella. Also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
