Obituary: Christian G. Kohler Jr. 91, of Hamden

Prior to his retirement he was an Engineer for SNET. He also served his country as a member of the United States Army.

On December 21, 2018, Christian G. Kohler Jr. 91, of Hamden, passed peacefully at the home he built with his beloved wife Lois Lassen Kohler. Loving father of Christine Kaliszewski (Robert) of Plantsville, Colleen Combs (Christopher) of Southington, Kathleen Kohler Balko (James) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Lisa Heaney (Tim) of Ellington and Kimberly Tedesco (Frank) of Altamont, NY. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Alex, Kelly, Conor, Michael, Christian, William, Natalie, Frankie and Tanner. Predeceased by a grandson Joseph Balko and sisters Norma O'Keefe and Doris Komoroski. Mr. Kohler was born in New Haven December 25, 1926 son of the late Christian G. Kohler Sr. and Natalie Allen Kohler.

Prior to his retirement he was an Engineer for SNET. Chris was an active member of the volunteer organization known as the Telephone Pioneers of America. He also served his country as a member of the United States Army.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 200 Executive Blvd. Southington, CT. 06489-1058.
