Obituary: Eunice ‘Eunie’ Moreira, 76, Of Hamden

Eunice, who worked for Dr. Harry Conte, will always be remembered for her kindness & generosity to others.

HAMDEN, CT — (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home): Eunice "Eunie" Moreira, 76, of Hamden, formerly of Wallingford, passed away peacefully November 28 after a long illness. Born in New Haven daughter of the late Jerome & Phyllis Cricco Costanzo. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 38 years Jeffrey Moreira.

Eunice was a graduate of Hamden High School and then attended Mt. Ida College where she graduated with an A.S. degree in Executive Secretarial Studies. Upon graduation she worked for Dr. Harry Conte and in later years for Sigma Xi and Catholic Charities in the New Haven Area.

Eunice will always be remembered for her kindness & generosity to others. She loved arts & crafts and her unconditional love of animals, especially German Shepards.

She is survived by her loving brothers, Philip Costanzo sr. of Hamden, & Robert (Sandi) Costanzo of North Haven, and nephews Ralph & Philip Costanzo jr. She also leaves behind her beloved German Shepard Kona. She was predeceased by brothers Ralph (her twin who perished in Vietnam) and Jerome Costanzo Jr.

A special thank you to the staffs of Arden House & Vitas Healthcare whose compassionate care and support in her final stage of life allowed her to pass peacefully with comfort and dignity. Private services were held in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home. Interment was also private.
